Tompolo Revs Up Campaign for Tinubu’s Re-election, Donates Vehicles

Former militant leader, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has intensified his support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, donating vehicles and other resources for nationwide campaign mobilisation through his newly established political movement.

Tompolo, a prominent figure from the South-South, founded the PBAT Door‑to‑Door Movement, a grassroots platform dedicated to rallying support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election.

The movement has been actively mobilising supporters across the country, with campaign vehicles commissioned during the inauguration of its national executive.

Sources close to the movement confirm that Tompolo has provided vehicles and other resources to support campaign activities across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory. The move is seen as part of his broader effort to ensure the president secures a second term in office.

Tompolo has also publicly urged northern political leaders to back Tinubu’s re-election bid, calling for unity and continued support for the administration’s policies and reforms.

However, social media claims that Tompolo donated campaign vehicles specifically to Northerners remain unverified. While the former militant leader has indeed provided vehicles for nationwide mobilisation, no official statement or verified report has confirmed that any donation was targeted exclusively at the North.

In a separate development, the Delta State Sports Commission Chair donated four Toyota Sienna buses to political support groups in Delta State in June 2026. Tompolo received the vehicles on behalf of one of the groups, but he was not the donor.

Additionally, Tompolo recently donated ₦10 billion to the Delta State Security Trust Fund, a contribution aimed at strengthening security infrastructure in the state rather than supporting political campaigns.

“Tompolo’s support for President Tinubu is nationwide and strategic. He is committed to ensuring the president’s re-election through peaceful and lawful means, and his contributions are aimed at mobilising Nigerians across all regions,” a source close to the former militant leader told The Nation.

As the 2027 election approaches, Tompolo is expected to remain a key figure in the president’s campaign efforts, leveraging his influence and resources to galvanise support across the country.
