Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have rescued one of two victims kidnapped in Nhantina Village,

Mbar District, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State. The operation was carried out by Sector 5 of the joint force.

The victims, identified as Mr Isah Ndal and Mrs Cecilia Isah, were abducted in the community. Security sources said troops launched search operations in the general area after the incident was reported.

At about 2:40 a.m. on August 16, 2026, the soldiers located and rescued Mrs Cecilia Isah during the ongoing search. She was debriefed by security personnel and later reunited with her family.

Efforts are continuing to find and free the remaining victim, Mr Isah Ndal. Troops have intensified their search operations in the surrounding area.

Operation Enduring Peace has maintained regular patrols and search activities across vulnerable communities in Plateau State. The measures are aimed at denying criminal elements freedom of action and protecting residents from further attacks.
