PBAT Door-To-Door Movement to Launch Tinubu’s 2027 Campaign With 3,000-Man Lagos Walk

The PBAT Door-To-Door Movement, South-West zone, is set to begin its mobilisation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid with a 3,000-man Posterity Walk in Lagos on Wednesday.

The event will be held at the Lagos Television premises in Agidingbi, Ikeja, and is expected to attract supporters, political stakeholders and residents from across the South-West.

The movement said the walk would formally mark the commencement of its grassroots campaign ahead of the 2027 presidential election and demonstrate its support for Tinubu’s bid for a second term.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the group’s Zonal Secretary, Awoyinfa Opeoluwa, said the mobilisation was aimed at building wider support for the President and sustaining his administration’s programmes beyond 2027.

“We are excited to announce the official flag-off of our campaign for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 general election,” the statement said.

According to the movement, the Posterity Walk will also serve as a platform to demonstrate its commitment to strengthening grassroots support for the President across the six states of the South-West.

It described the event as a symbol of unity and collective support for Tinubu, whom it credited with pursuing policies it believes would promote national development and economic progress.

The organisers have urged participants to attend with banners and posters as they seek to highlight what they described as the administration’s efforts in economic development, governance and national unity.

The mobilisation comes amid increasing political activities across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections, with political parties and various support groups already beginning to organise their structures and mobilise supporters.

Tinubu, who emerged victorious in the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, is eligible to seek another four-year term in 2027.

His administration has faced criticism from opposition groups and some Nigerians over rising living costs, inflation and the immediate impact of its economic reforms. Supporters of the government, however, maintain that the reforms are aimed at restructuring the economy and laying the foundation for sustainable growth.

The South-West is regarded as a key political base for Tinubu, who hails from Lagos State and has maintained a strong political presence in the region over the years.

The PBAT Door-To-Door Movement said the Lagos walk would be the first in a series of grassroots activities designed to strengthen its mobilisation network and rally support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
