Saraki Unveils 500-Seater ICT Centre Built by Bauchi PDP Governorship Candidate
Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki on Sunday commissioned a 500-seater Information and Communication Technology Centre built by the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Bauchi State, Usman Suphi.
Saraki was represented at the event by former Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Kawu Baraje.
Baraje, speaking on Saraki’s behalf, congratulated the people of Bauchi for having Suphi as one of their own. He praised the candidate’s commitment to youth empowerment, education and community development, describing the project as worthy of commendation.
Suphi said the ICT and Computer-Based Test Centre was more than a physical structure. He described it as a symbol of hope and opportunity, stressing that education and empowerment remain among the greatest investments any society can make.
The centre is equipped with brand-new laptops for each of the 500 seats, a local area network and other facilities needed for computer-based examinations. Suphi said it was designed to help students in Azare and neighbouring communities adapt to digital changes and participate actively in the technology-driven world.
He added that the project reflected the philosophy of the Assufiyya Humanitarian Foundation, which views service to humanity as the highest form of leadership. Suphi called on governments, educational institutions and development partners to support similar initiatives that create opportunities for young people.
