Nigeria’s defence institutions have been allocated a combined ₦183.77 billion in the 2026 budget, with the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) receiving the largest allocation among the institutions listed.

According to data published by Statisense, citing the Budget Office, the Nigerian Defence Academy received ₦40.41 billion, the highest allocation among the 10 defence institutions.

The Command and Staff College, Jaji, followed with ₦35.89 billion, while the National Defence College was allocated ₦29.27 billion.

The Air Force Institute of Technology received ₦17.19 billion, while the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre was allocated ₦13.18 billion.

Other institutions on the list include the Defence Space School, which received ₦10.97 billion, and the Admiralty University, with an allocation of ₦9.41 billion.

The Defence Research and Development Bureau received ₦9.35 billion, closely followed by the National Hydrographic Agency with ₦9.34 billion.

The Air Power Centre of Excellence received ₦8.76 billion, placing it 10th among the institutions listed.

The allocations highlight the Federal Government’s budgetary commitments to military education, training, research, technology and other specialised defence-related institutions in 2026.
