2027 Hajj Pilgrims to Submit Passports as Kano Sets August 25 Deadline
The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has fixed August 25, 2026, as the deadline for all registered intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj to submit their valid international passports.
The board warned that pilgrims who fail to meet the deadline risk losing their opportunity to be allocated seats for the pilgrimage.
The Public Relations Officer of the board, Sulaiman Dederi, announced the directive in a statement issued on Saturday on behalf of its Director-General, Alhaji Abubakar Matawalle.
Dederi said the directive was aimed at facilitating the timely completion of registration and documentation ahead of the 2027 Hajj exercise.
According to the statement, the deadline was necessitated by the need to conclude the enrolment process within the required period, particularly as the Saudi Arabian Hajj registration server is expected to close towards the end of August.
Matawalle therefore urged all registered intending pilgrims who had yet to submit their passports to do so promptly through the designated channels before the August 25 deadline.
He cautioned that the board would not be held responsible for any consequences arising from a pilgrim’s failure to comply with the directive.
The board consequently advised all registered intending pilgrims to treat the deadline as a matter of urgency and ensure that their documentation is completed within the stipulated period.
