Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, says he hopes his administration will be remembered for transforming the state, strengthening unity and laying the foundation for sustained economic growth before leaving office in May 2027.

Sule stated this on Friday during an interview on Arise Television’s Day Break, where he reflected on the achievements of his administration and the legacy he intends to leave behind.

The governor said Nasarawa had undergone significant changes since he assumed office, describing the state as a “diamond in the rough” whose vast potential had become more visible through deliberate government policies.

According to him, his administration has focused on repositioning the state by improving its image, attracting investment and creating opportunities for industrial development.

Sule also said efforts by his government had fostered greater political stability and strengthened unity among residents.

He noted that political disagreements in the state are now largely confined to members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), adding that opposition parties no longer pose a significant challenge.

The governor explained that most of the disputes within the political space stem from internal party contests and grievances arising from electoral outcomes rather than from external opposition.

Highlighting what he hopes will define his tenure, Sule pointed to the state’s growing industrial base, expanding economic opportunities and increased visibility as key milestones achieved under his administration.

He expressed optimism that the progress recorded in infrastructure, investment and governance would position Nasarawa for continued development beyond the end of his tenure.
