The sister of Afrobeats star, Ayra Starr has narrated a frightening encounter with suspected area boys in Lagos, alleging that they damaged her car after mistaking her for the singer. 

She shared her account on Instagram, describing the experience as deeply upsetting and noting that things escalated once the men became convinced they were dealing with Ayra Starr herself.

According to her, the men damaged her car and repeatedly shouted the singer’s name, believing they had encountered the star in person, a realisation that only made the ordeal more distressing for her.

She described the entire situation as sad and called for authorities to pay closer attention to the growing menace of such attacks on residents and motorists in the city.
