Man Locked out by Wife for Keeping Late, Collapses, Dies After Overnight Sleep in Car

A tragic incident has thrown residents of Sapele, Delta State, into mourning following the sudden death of a popular auto-electrician, locally known as Chuks, who died after spending the night in his car because his wife locked him out of their home.

The incident occurred following a dispute over Chuks returning home late. According to local sources, the deceased had been working late to prepare for his younger brother’s upcoming wedding.

Upon reaching his residence, his wife reportedly refused to open the door, instructing him to return to wherever he was coming from.

Unable to gain entry into the house, Chuks resorted to sleeping in his vehicle parked outside the compound.

The next morning, Chuks reportedly called an assistant from his workshop to help unload some chickens he had purchased for the wedding.

Witnesses state that shortly after stepping out of the vehicle, Chuks suddenly collapsed. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him dead.

While early social media speculation blamed the death on suffocation or oxygen deprivation from sleeping inside the enclosed vehicle, an official medical report confirming the exact cause of death is still being awaited.
