Femi Adebayo’s estranged wife, Omotayo Sanusi, popularly known as Iyanaladuke, has broken her long held silence to deny viral claims that Nollywood actresses Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele played any role in the collapse of her marriage.

The clarification followed the resurfacing of a video by a social media personality identified as Mama Esabod, which revived a long circulating allegation that Toyin Abraham had approached Sanusi on a movie set to inform her that Adebayo was romantically involved with another actress during the filming of Jagun Jagun Part 2.

According to the claim, that tip off allegedly led to a confrontation on set, contributing to the breakdown of her marriage. A related strand of the rumour also linked Funke Akindele to the fallout, alleging she had since worked to turn producers against Abraham within the industry.

In a detailed statement posted to her Instagram page, Sanusi rejected the allegations outright, insisting no such conversation or confrontation ever took place. She explained that she had chosen for years not to respond publicly to the many false stories surrounding her marriage, but felt compelled to speak now that the claims were increasingly being treated as established fact rather than rumour. She noted that she was present throughout the entire production in question, where her team was responsible for feeding and managing a crew of more than 500 people over the course of over a month, undercutting the version of events being circulated online.

When an Instagram user further pressed her to clear Funke Akindele’s name as well, Sanusi obliged, denying she had ever accused the filmmaker of any wrongdoing and challenging anyone pushing the narrative to produce credible evidence rather than presenting speculation as truth.

The statement marks Sanusi’s most direct public response yet to the persistent rumours trailing her marriage to the Nollywood actor and filmmaker, following earlier reports in which a family member of Adebayo’s had also pushed back on separate claims that he abandoned Sanusi financially after their split.
