Troops Recover 41 Rustled Cattle, Foil Operation in Plateau State
Troops under Sector 6 of Operation Enduring Peace have recovered 41 rustled cattle after foiling an attempted livestock theft in Fwil village, located within Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The military operation commenced at approximately 5:30 a.m. on July 27 following a distress report alerting troops to an ongoing cattle rustling incident in the area. Security forces immediately mobilized to the scene, trailed the fleeing criminal gang, and made contact with the armed rustlers.
Upon sighting the advancing troops, the suspects abandoned the stolen livestock and fled into nearby bushes to evade arrest. Military personnel secured all 41 recovered cattle, verified ownership, and subsequently returned the livestock to their rightful owner while continuing search operations across the surrounding terrain to track down the fleeing perpetrators.
