Operatives of the Katsina Community Watch Corps, alongside joint security personnel, have neutralized over 40 armed bandits and successfully repelled a major attack on local communities in Katsina State.

The confrontation occurred when a large group of heavily armed bandits launched an ambush on vulnerable settlements, triggering a swift and coordinated counter-offensive by the local security outfit and allied forces.

During the intense gun battle, several items of operational weaponry and logistics belonging to the criminal gang were recovered, while the remaining attackers fled into nearby forest hideouts with varying degrees of gunshot injuries.

State officials commended the bravery and vigilance of the security personnel, reiterating their commitment to strengthening grassroots security networks and eliminating armed banditry to restore lasting peace across affected local government areas.
