Kano Amirul Hajj Visits Pilgrims in Mina, Urges Prayers for Peace, Development
The Amirul Hajj for Kano State and Emir of Gaya, Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, has led a delegation to visit Kano pilgrims in Mina, Saudi Arabia, where he conveyed Eid-el-Kabir greetings and urged them to pray for peace and development in Nigeria.
The delegation included the Deputy Amirul Hajj and Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Muhammad Maharaz, alongside officials of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, including its Chairman and Director-General, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle.
Addressing the pilgrims during the visit, Abdulkadir commended them for maintaining discipline and orderly conduct throughout the pilgrimage activities.
He urged the pilgrims to continue offering prayers for lasting peace, economic growth and stability in Kano State and across Nigeria.
The Amirul Hajj also appealed to the pilgrims to pray for the administration of Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
At another gathering, the Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board announced that the 200 Saudi Riyals earlier promised to pilgrims by the state government would be distributed through centre officers once the contingents return to Makkah.
Matawalle assured the pilgrims that the board remained committed to ensuring their comfort and welfare throughout the Hajj exercise.
Meanwhile, Islamic clerics including Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, Sheikh Tijjani Bala Kalarawi and Sheikh Abubakar Kandahar delivered lectures to the pilgrims on the spiritual significance and teachings of Hajj.
The clerics also offered prayers for the acceptance of the pilgrims’ Hajj rites and for divine forgiveness.
