Acting, Not Producing, My Divine Calling, Says Shaffy Bello
Veteran Nollywood actress, Shaffy Bello has said she does not feel pressured to become a movie producer, insisting that acting remains the purpose God has called her to fulfil.
Speaking during an appearance on the Morayo Brown Show, the actress explained that acting gave her visibility and influence, describing it as a gift that should be respected and used meaningfully.
According to the 55-year-old actress, she once prayed to become a household name and later realised that the platform came with responsibility and purpose beyond fame or financial gain.
Shaffy Bello said every actor does not necessarily have to transition into film production, stressing that people should remain committed to the paths and talents meant for them.
She noted that although she is not ruling out producing films in the future, she does not believe it is what she has been called to do at the moment.
The actress also said her focus is on making a positive impact through her craft and inspiring others with the influence she has gained over the years.
Speaking on morality and image in the entertainment industry, Shaffy Bello said she hopes to serve as an example of decency for younger actresses.
She argued that women do not have to expose their bodies to appear attractive, while acknowledging that some actresses make difficult choices because of economic hardship and family responsibilities.
The actress maintained that individuals should recognise their unique gifts and pursue them fully instead of following trends or industry pressure.
