Rema, LISA, Anitta Unite for FIFA World Cup 2026 Anthem ‘Goals’

FIFA has released the official anthem for the 2026 World Cup, unveiling a high-energy global collaboration titled Goals, featuring Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema, Thai K-pop sensation LISA, and Brazilian pop powerhouse Anitta, in one of the most anticipated musical releases tied to football’s biggest tournament.

The track dropped on Thursday, May 21, on all major streaming platforms alongside an official music video, released under SALXCO UAM and Def Jam Recordings. Produced by Brazilian hitmaking duo Tropkillaz, Goals weaves together the distinct sonic identities of its three artists, blending Afrobeats, K-pop and Brazilian funk into a stadium-ready anthem that carries the slogan “Three continents. One sound.” FIFA described the album from which the song is drawn as a unifying platform where music and sport intersect, connecting fans, communities and sounds from around the world, and said the project mirrors the vibrancy and breadth of the global game.

Each of the three artists brought their own personal stake to the collaboration. Anitta, who has long been one of Brazil’s most globally recognised acts, spoke of the emotional weight of contributing to a tournament that holds deep significance for her country. “My connection to the World Cup is deeply emotional. I’m Brazilian, after all, of course I have wonderful memories tied to the tournament. It’s incredibly special to now contribute to its history, collaborating with LISA and Rema on Goals,” she said. LISA, the BLACKPINK member who has established a formidable solo career, described the experience as an honour, noting that music has always been a powerful force for global unity. Rema, whose 2022 smash Calm Down announced him to the world as a generational talent, cements his status as a go-to voice for major international platforms with his inclusion on the track.

Goals is the fifth release from the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album, following previously released tracks including Lighter, Por Ella, Echo and Illuminate. It arrives days after Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy and Colombian superstar Shakira jointly released Dai Dai, another FIFA-linked anthem, underscoring the tournament organisers’ commitment to building a richly diverse musical programme around the competition.

The 2026 World Cup, which opens on June 12 across the United States, Canada and Mexico, has been generating considerable excitement well beyond the football pitches.

The trio will take their collaboration from the studio to the world stage when they perform Goals live for the first time at the opening ceremony at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on June 12, ahead of the United States’ opening match.

They will be joined by a star-studded entertainment lineup that includes Katy Perry, South African star Tyla, and American rapper Future, in what is shaping up to be one of the most spectacular opening ceremonies in World Cup history.
