The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, has declared that Nigeria’s next president ahead of the 2027 general elections has already been chosen by God.

Speaking at a workers’ meeting at Redemption City Adeboye said the outcome of the election ultimately lies beyond human control.

“The next president has already been decided by God who owns the universe, the will of God will be done,” he stated, urging Nigerians not to be anxious about political developments.

While encouraging civic participation, the cleric stressed that divine authority remains supreme in determining leadership, calling on citizens to remain prayerful and peaceful as 2027 approaches.

Adeboye also addressed remarks by activist Omoyele Sowore, who described him and other clerics as “fathers of Christians in Nigeria.” The pastor rejected the label, clarifying that he is only a spiritual leader within his denomination.

He maintained that national Christian leadership rests with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), whose president represents Christians across the country.
