Omo-Agege Declares Bid for 2027 Delta Central Senate Seat

Former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has officially declared his intention to contest the Delta Central Senatorial District seat in the 2027 general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

His declaration signals a move to return to the National Assembly and continue representing the people of the district at the federal level.

Omo-Agege, who previously served as senator representing Delta Central from 2015 to 2023, said his decision followed consultations with political leaders, stakeholders, and supporters across the district.

According to him, many people within the constituency encouraged him to seek a return to the Senate to continue the work he began during his earlier time in office.

Speaking on his decision, the former deputy senate president explained that public service remains a strong commitment for him. He noted that leadership requires dedication and experience, adding that he is prepared to use his knowledge of legislative processes to contribute meaningfully to national development.

He also stressed the importance of strong representation for the people of Delta Central, particularly the Urhobo nation. Omo-Agege said the district needs a clear and influential voice in the Senate to attract development, push policies that benefit the region, and ensure that the interests of the people are properly represented at the national level.

As political activities gradually build toward the 2027 general elections, Omo-Agege called on members of the APC and residents of Delta Central to remain united and focused on progress.

He expressed confidence that with cooperation and support from the people, the district can continue to benefit from effective leadership and representation in the National Assembly.
