Harness Creativity for Community Development, Nonye Soludo Urges Youth

Nonye Soludo has called on Nigerian youths to embrace their talents and creativity as tools for driving development and addressing societal challenges.

In a statement issued on Tuesday to commemorate World Creativity and Innovation Day, she encouraged young people to think beyond conventional approaches and use innovation to create opportunities and improve their communities.

Soludo, founder of the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, said creativity is not limited to technology but includes the ability to develop new ideas that solve problems and uplift others.

She noted that innovation plays a critical role in advancing society, urging youths to embrace their individuality and contribute meaningfully to national development.

Highlighting the contributions of people in Anambra State, she commended residents for their resilience and ingenuity across sectors such as business, education and skilled trades, adding that these qualities continue to shape a more inclusive future.

She also stressed the need to nurture curiosity and support bold ideas, saying individuals have the potential to transform their environment when given the right encouragement.

World Creativity and Innovation Day, marked annually on April 21, was established by the United Nations to promote awareness of the role of creativity and innovation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The observance encourages individuals and organisations to adopt creative, multidisciplinary approaches to solving global and local challenges.
