The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, has apprehended three suspects linked to various criminal activities, including kidnapping, robbery, and theft.
The arrests were made across different locations in the state as part of the command’s ongoing efforts to curb rising insecurity and protect residents.
State Commandant Abbas Bappa Muhammed revealed that the suspects were caught following a series of intelligence-led operations. One of the suspects was specifically linked to a kidnapping incident, while the others were found to be involved in armed robbery and the theft of valuable items.
During the operation, several items were recovered from the suspects, including weapons and stolen property. The NSCDC noted that the individuals had been terrorizing various communities, causing significant distress to local inhabitants and commuters within the state.
The command emphasized its commitment to flushing out criminal elements from Nasarawa, urging the public to remain vigilant and provide timely information to security agencies.
This collaboration is seen as vital for the successful apprehension of criminals who operate within the suburbs and rural areas.
The arrested suspects are currently in custody and undergoing thorough investigation to determine the full extent of their criminal network. Once the investigation is concluded, they will be charged to court to face the full weight of the law, serving as a deterrent to others.
