Pastor Tobi Adegboyega Reveals Cancer Battle, Undergoes Surgery, Donates £100,000

UK-based Nigerian pastor, Tobi Adegboyega, founder of the now-defunct Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC Nation), has revealed he was recently diagnosed with cancer and underwent major surgery as part of his treatment. The announcement was made in a pre-recorded sermon released on Thursday, June 5, where he addressed his congregation, now known as The Nxtion Family.

In the video message, Adegboyega shared the emotional journey he has been through over the past few months.

“I was diagnosed with cancer. Yes, you heard me right. I’ve been dealing with cancer for the past few months or even more. I just had a major surgery; that’s why I am not there today,” he told members of the church.

The pastor, who has remained an influential figure despite controversy surrounding SPAC Nation, expressed profound gratitude for what he described as divine intervention in his healing.

“I have just fought the battle, and I feel the verdict to continue to live was given to me by God for a new level, for a new stage,” he said.

Following his recovery, Adegboyega announced a personal donation of £100,000 to support cancer awareness and treatment, particularly for young people battling the disease. The gesture was met with praise on social media, where followers and supporters commended his resilience and generosity.

Tobi Adegboyega founded SPAC Nation in 2008 in South London, with a mission to help reform youth involved in crime through spiritual and community engagement.

Over the years, the church attracted both acclaim and criticism, eventually leading to a UK government investigation and subsequent closure in 2022 over insolvency and alleged financial mismanagement.

Now operating under the rebranded name The Nxtion Family, Adegboyega continues to lead the movement, emphasizing philanthropy and personal transformation.

His latest announcement marks a deeply personal chapter in his journey and has sparked renewed attention from both supporters and critics.

The news of his cancer diagnosis and recovery has generated an outpouring of prayers and well-wishes from the public, with many viewing his experience as a moment of vulnerability and inspiration.
