In a gesture of appreciation, Africa’s wealthiest businessman, Aliko Dangote, has dedicated a major thoroughfare to Nigeria’s leader, President Bola Tinubu.

The newly christened route provides direct access to the Dangote Refinery, a monumental project undertaken by the Dangote Group.

During his remarks, Dangote highlighted his company’s extensive infrastructure development initiatives, which include the construction of numerous roads across the country, made possible through a tax credit scheme.

He revealed that his conglomerate has earmarked a staggering N900 billion for road construction, a significant investment considering the group’s substantial tax contribution of N450 billion in the previous year.

President Tinubu’s historic visit to the refinery coincided with the launch of several key infrastructure projects, including the commissioning of a crucial road linking the Lekki Deep Sea Port and the inauguration of a major highway segment connecting Lagos to Calabar.

Additionally, a 25-kilometer road was flagged off, providing a vital link between the port, the Free Trade Zone, the Dangote Refinery, and the Sagamu-Benin expressway via Ijebu Ode.
