Keyamo Hails Tinubu as Master Strategist Ahead of 2027

Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his political strategy, describing him as a master tactician with a clear advantage over opposition figures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a post shared on X on Sunday, Keyamo said Tinubu’s background as a long time opposition figure has equipped him with a deep understanding of political maneuvering, giving him an upper hand in Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.

He noted that Tinubu’s rise from opposition ranks to the presidency reflects a level of experience that current rivals may struggle to match.

According to the minister, the President’s past battles in opposition politics have shaped his ability to anticipate and counter strategies from competing parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party.

Keyamo recalled Tinubu’s position as the only opposition governor in the South West following the 2007 elections, stating that the period played a defining role in building his political resilience and strategic depth.

He argued that many of the tactics now being deployed by opposition parties were originally developed by Tinubu, making it difficult for them to outmaneuver him.

The minister added that the President’s familiarity with opposition strategies places him significantly ahead of his challengers as political activities intensify ahead of the next election cycle.

His remarks come at a time of growing alignments and repositioning among political actors preparing for the 2027 elections.
