NYSC Fixes April 22 for 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation
The National Youth Service Corps has scheduled the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II orientation course to begin nationwide on April 22, 2026.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the scheme said the 21-day programme will take place simultaneously across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the statement, registration of prospective corps members will start on April 22 and close at midnight on April 24. The swearing-in ceremony is also slated for April 24, while the orientation exercise will conclude on May 12, 2026.
The NYSC advised participants to take safety precautions when travelling to orientation camps, particularly discouraging night journeys. It recommended that corps members break their trips by 6:00 p.m. and lodge at designated safe locations such as corps lodges, military formations, police stations, or traditional rulers’ residences before continuing the next day.
The scheme also extended goodwill wishes to prospective corps members as they prepare to report to camps across the country.
Earlier, the NYSC announced that supplementary online registration for newly uploaded prospective corps members will run from April 9 to April 11, 2026. The exercise is intended for candidates who have been added to the portal but are yet to complete their registration.
It further urged applicants to have all required documents and personal details ready to ensure a seamless registration process.
