Army Pulls Out Major General Akerejola

The Nigerian Army recently held a colorful farewell pulling-out parade in Benin City to honor Major General Erema Akerejola upon his retirement.

The ceremony marked the end of his decades-long career of distinguished service to the nation.

During the event, General Akerejola was praised for his leadership and dedication to the Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport.

The parade served as a formal recognition of his contributions to military logistics and national security.

High-ranking military officers, both serving and retired, attended the ceremony to pay their respects. The traditional pulling-out parade is a symbolic gesture used to transition senior officers from active duty into civilian life.

In his valedictory speech, the retiring general reflected on his years in the military and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve. He urged current officers to maintain high standards of discipline and professionalism in their duties.

The ceremony also highlighted the importance of preserving military traditions, which reinforce the values of loyalty and sacrifice. Family members and well-wishers joined the troops in celebrating the general’s transition after a successful career.

Following the parade, a reception was held where colleagues shared tributes regarding the general’s impact on the corps. The event concluded with well-wishes for his future endeavors as he joins the ranks of the nation’s veterans.
