The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially debunked viral reports claiming it has set the prices for expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 general elections.
The party labeled the circulating information as entirely false and misleading.
The controversy was sparked by a widely shared graphics on social media, which suggested that presidential hopefuls would be required to pay ₦200 million for forms. The same graphics claimed that State Assembly aspirants would face a fee of ₦20 million.
In a statement released on Saturday, March 28, 2026, the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, clarified that these figures did not originate from the party. He stressed that the graphic was unauthorized and lacked any official backing.
Morka further explained that the party leadership has not yet held any discussions or reached any decisions regarding the sale of forms. Consequently, no official pricing structure exists for the upcoming 2027 electoral cycle at this time.
The party spokesperson described the publication as a “figment of the writer’s mischievous imagination.” He suggested the report was designed to create confusion among party members and the general public during the early stages of election planning.
The APC has urged its members, the media, and the public to disregard the “fake” price list completely. It advised stakeholders to rely only on official communication channels for updates regarding the 2027 election guidelines and requirements.
