Ogun West Leaders Mobilize Support for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election, Adeola’s Governorship Bid

Market traders and traditional rulers in Ogun West have mobilized to support President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election and Senator Solomon Adeola’s governorship bid. During a gathering in Ilaro, the groups pledged to conduct grassroots campaigns for both candidates.

They believe this dual support will ensure political continuity and regional growth.

Chief Adewale Adesina, the Babaloja of Yewaland, praised President Tinubu’s “purposeful leadership” and difficult economic reforms. He noted that these policies are starting to stabilize Nigeria’s finances and reposition the nation.

Consequently, the group believes the President deserves a second term to complete his work.

The groups also endorsed Senator Adeola, popularly known as “Yayi,” to succeed Governor Dapo Abiodun. They highlighted his track record in facilitating schools, hospitals, and road projects across the state. They expressed confidence that his leadership would further accelerate the development of Ogun State.

Adesina emphasized that endorsements must be backed by active participation, urging all supporters to secure their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). He stated that the goal is to mobilize at least 500,000 votes for the candidates. To achieve this, a “Show Your PVC” campaign will soon be launched.

The Baales Forum, representing over 1,000 community heads, echoed this support, citing the Senator’s tangible impact on local infrastructure. Simeon Fagbohun noted that Adeola’s consistent empowerment initiatives have earned him the community’s trust. They view him as the most capable candidate to transform the state.

Representing coronet traditional rulers, Oba Isaac Adeisa finalized the endorsement through an official communiqué. The monarchs concluded that both Tinubu and Adeola have proven track records of service. They believe these leaders are essential for consolidating economic stability and regional progress in 2027.
