Oyo APC Chairman Orders Inauguration of Ward Executives for Grassroots Presence

Following the official swearing-in of local government chairmen at the party’s Oke-Ado secretariat in Ibadan, Oyo State APC Chairman and former Deputy Governor, Moses Adeyemo, has directed these leaders to immediately swear in their respective ward executive committees.

Through a statement issued by the state’s Publicity Secretary, Wale Sadare, Adeyemo emphasized that the party must mobilize without delay. He maintained that because ward officials are the primary link to the grassroots, they must be fully authorized to begin their constitutional duties.

In his charge to the new leaders, Adeyemo noted that “the successful conduct of our congresses has shown that the APC remains the party to beat in Oyo State. However, we cannot afford to rest on our oars. You must go back to your various local government areas and ensure that the ward executives are properly inaugurated so they can begin the work of mobilizing members and reconciling any aggrieved party faithful.”

Beyond the inauguration, the Chairman urged leaders to uphold loyalty and fairness as essential tools for party unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He concluded by thanking party stakeholders and security agencies for ensuring the transition process remained peaceful and orderly.
