Governor Dapo Abiodun, Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, has commended the APC for its dominant performance in the FCT area council elections.
The polls, held on Saturday, resulted in a significant victory for the ruling party across the capital’s councils.
In a statement from Abeokuta, Abiodun noted that the election results reflect a broad national acceptance of the APC. He credited the party’s success to the positive impact of current administration policies on the lives of residents in the Federal Capital Territory.
The Governor described the victory as a direct endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.” He argued that the outcome proves Nigerians are aligned with the President’s vision and trust the APC to secure the nation’s future.
Abiodun congratulated President Tinubu, the APC leadership, and the victorious candidates for their successful outing. He praised the strategic campaign efforts that translated into a clear and decisive mandate from the electorate.
The Forum Chairman viewed the FCT results as a strong indicator of what to expect in the 2027 general elections. He expressed confidence that this momentum would lead to continued success for the party in future national contests.
The statement concluded by affirming the APC as the best platform for Nigeria’s progress. Abiodun urged members to stay united and focus on delivering democratic dividends as they prepare for upcoming political challenges.
