Akwa Ibom: Governor’s Daughter Vows to Sustain Late Mother’s Legacy

Helen Eno Obareki, daughter of Governor Umo Eno, has pledged to sustain the legacy of her late mother, Pastor Patience Umo Eno. Speaking in Uyo, she vowed to continue the humanitarian work started by the late First Lady.
Following her mother’s passing, Helen was appointed by her father to coordinate the First Lady’s office. This strategic role ensures that vital social welfare programs remain active and well-managed.
She will prioritize the “Golden Initiative For All” (GIFA), a foundation focused on empowering women and the elderly. Helen emphasized that healthcare interventions for the vulnerable will remain a top priority under her leadership.
The Governor’s daughter committed to embodying her mother’s values of compassion and service. She aims to provide a seamless transition within the state’s “Arise Agenda” for social development.
Local women leaders and stakeholders have expressed strong support for her new role. They believe her close bond with her mother makes her uniquely qualified to carry the vision forward.
Helen called for continued prayers and unity for the first family during their time of grief. She reaffirmed that the office remains dedicated to serving the people of Akwa Ibom.
