The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has praised its members and the committees overseeing its ward congresses for ensuring a smooth and peaceful exercise across the state.
The party’s Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, said the success of the congresses was due to the commitment of party members and the diligence of the committees deployed by the APC national headquarters.
Sadare noted that by adopting a consensus approach, the party was able to conduct congresses in all 351 wards without incidents of conflict or protest.
The Congress Screening Committee, led by Hon.
Gombi Amos, was commended for effectively screening candidates, while the Congress Committee under Hon. Nadir Lar was lauded for ensuring a transparent and credible process.
According to the party, the successful conduct of the ward congresses provides a solid foundation for upcoming local government and state congresses and strengthens the party’s structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Sadare concluded by urging members to continue demonstrating unity, discipline, and loyalty, emphasizing that the peaceful exercise reflects the APC’s commitment to democratic values and orderly party operations.
