New Kwara State NSCDC Commandant, Umar Mohammed, has warned criminals that the state will no longer accommodate their activities.

Speaking in Ilorin, he vowed to prioritize peace and safety for all residents.

Mohammed pledged to enhance intelligence-gathering to prevent crimes before they occur. He noted that the command is adopting a proactive strategy to ensure comprehensive security coverage across the state.

The Commandant emphasized the protection of critical national infrastructure as a top priority. He warned vandals and saboteurs that the corps is on high alert to arrest and prosecute anyone damaging public assets.

To strengthen state security, Mohammed called for closer collaboration with other agencies. He believes that a unified front is essential to effectively tackling modern security challenges in both urban and rural areas.

He also urged residents to support the corps by reporting suspicious movements. According to the Commandant, public cooperation is a vital component in identifying threats and maintaining a secure environment.

Reaffirming his zero-tolerance stance, he stated: “Kwara State will never be a safe haven for criminals. We are here to work, and we will ensure that every nook and cranny of this state is secured against all forms of criminality.”
