Two media aides to Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa have resigned. The officials are Pastor Taiwo Gbamila, Senior Special Assistant on Multimedia, and Olugbenga Abire, Special Assistant on New Media.

The resignations occurred between Sunday and Monday. Both aides submitted official notices to the Governor and the Secretary to the State Government, ending their roles within the state’s communication team.

In his letter, Gbamila thanked the Governor for the opportunity to serve. He kept his message brief and professional, focusing on a respectful exit from his multimedia position.

Olugbenga Abire shared an emotional farewell, noting he discussed his exit with the Governor personally. He stated that Aiyedatiwa acted in a fatherly manner, approving his plans and offering prayers for his future.

Abire had served in his role since December 2023. While leaving the government, he informed his colleagues of his decision and assured his social media followers that he remains reachable.

Neither aide provided a specific reason for stepping down from their appointments. Reflecting on the exit, Abire stated, “Late evening of Sunday, 15th February 2026, I shared the news of my exit from the Government of Ondo State with the governor… As a father, he prayed for me and sanctioned my plans.”
