Billionaire Femi Otedola has congratulated Aliko Dangote after the Dangote Refinery officially reached its full 650,000 barrels per day capacity.

He described this milestone as a historic turning point that ends Nigeria’s long-standing dependence on imported fuel.

Otedola highlighted the massive scale of the facility, noting it is now the world’s largest single-train refinery. He praised the project as a symbol of Nigerian resilience, emphasizing its role in transforming the local energy landscape and supplying the domestic market.

Characterizing the feat as a “masterclass in entrepreneurship,” Otedola lauded Dangote’s persistence through years of obstacles. He noted that the achievement will significantly strengthen the Naira by reducing the heavy pressure on Nigeria’s foreign exchange reserves.

The businessman also pointed to the broader economic benefits, including massive job creation and industrial growth.

He believes this success will inspire other indigenous investors to embark on large-scale infrastructure projects to drive the nation’s industrialization.

Expressing his pride, Otedola stated, “This is a monumental achievement that will forever change the face of energy in Africa. Aliko Dangote has shown that with vision and doggedness, nothing is impossible for the Nigerian spirit.”

Otedola concluded by stating that the refinery provides a blueprint for continental self-sufficiency.

He remarked, “The 650,000 bpd capacity is a testament to the fact that we can build world-class infrastructure right here. This is the ultimate victory for Nigeria.”
