APC National Publicity Secretary Dismisses Opposition Concerns Ahead of 2027

APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, has reaffirmed the party’s confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s leadership for the 2027 elections.
He dismissed emerging opposition coalitions as “insincere” attempts by politicians who previously oversaw Nigeria’s economic struggles.
Morka emphasized that Tinubu has shown “uncommon political will” in addressing long-standing security and economic hurdles.
He noted that while the transition is difficult, the administration’s bold reforms are necessary to build a resilient, non-oil-dependent economy.
The ruling party also highlighted its successful shift to a fully digitalized membership register, a first for any Nigerian party. This e-registration is intended to eliminate data duplication and ensure that all party members are verifiable before future elections.
Responding to claims of a “one-party state” agenda, Morka clarified that the APC is simply fulfilling its democratic role. He argued that the recent influx of defectors to the party is a natural result of the freedom of association.
Regarding the party’s confidence in the current administration, Morka stated, “The All Progressives Congress is not jittery; we have no reason to be jittery at all. We are not jittery because the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who is the leader of our party, is doing exactly what Nigerian elected him to do.”
With several governors already endorsing Tinubu for a second term, the APC remains focused on its reform agenda. The party continues to urge Nigerians to remain patient, expressing optimism that current strategies will eventually lead to national prosperity.
