Ondo Gov Appoints 32 Permanent Secretaries, Confirms Key Statutory Officers

 

The Governor of Ondo State, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the confirmation and appointment of 32 officers as Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service.

The appointments were announced on Monday in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan, and made available via the state government’s official X handle.

According to the statement, the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries include Mrs Tayo Ogundare, Mrs Morayo Bayo-Philip, Adeyemi Sule, Mrs Olufunso Tunji-Omoniyi, Olanrewaju Abiodun, Tope Lebile, Stephen Aworere, Omotayo Akeju, Olufemi Moyinolorun, Olakunle Ajibade, Mrs Oluwakemi Akinyemi and Bamidele Daisi.

Others are Akinluyi Omotola, Olumide Kinga, Mrs Ope Adetoye, Olusiji Olatunji, Mrs Oluseyi Odusola, Mrs Funke Adelayi, Dr Akindele Ige, Olanrewaju Akarakiri, Dr Mrs Abike Ilawole, Tpl Abimbola Tofowomo and Kolawole Kayode.

The list also includes Dr Peter Akingbade, Ayodeji Ogudare, Adeduro Akinbola, Ibidapo Ojo, Olusegun Orisabinone, Surv Idowu Owolabi, Adeoye O. Atibioke, Mrs Toyin Awotoye and Ayodeji Ayeku.

In addition to the Permanent Secretaries, Governor Aiyedatiwa confirmed key appointments into statutory positions. Olusola Sunday Ajayi was appointed as the Statistician-General of the state, while Dr Charles Tunde Ojuolape was confirmed as the Auditor-General for Local Governments.

The statement noted that the statutory appointments are subject to clearance by the Ondo State House of Assembly.

It added that all the confirmations and appointments will take effect from February 1, 2026.

Governor Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the state civil service, stressing that the appointments were aimed at enhancing efficiency, professionalism and effective service delivery across government ministries, departments and agencies.
