I’m Committed To Good Governance, Doing Things Right Way, Says Aiyedatiwaw
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has reiterated his commitment to good governance, emphasizing that his administration is focused on doing things the right way to ensure lasting development and public trust.
Speaking during a public engagement in Akure, the state capital, Governor Aiyedatiwa stated that integrity, accountability, and adherence to due process remain the guiding principles of his leadership.
“I am committed to doing things appropriately,” he said. “This administration will continue to uphold the values of transparency and responsibility in all aspects of governance. That is the only way we can guarantee progress and the confidence of the people.”
The Governor’s statement comes at a time when political attention in the state is gradually intensifying ahead of the next election cycle. Despite the increasing political activities, Aiyedatiwa maintained that his focus remains on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Ondo State.
He also called on public servants, political appointees, and community leaders to align with his administration’s vision and avoid actions that could undermine development efforts.
Governor Aiyedatiwa’s reaffirmation has been viewed by analysts as both a message of reassurance to the electorate and a call to order for members of his administration. Supporters have praised his consistency in promoting good governance, while others have urged him to match his words with more visible action, especially in areas such as infrastructure, education, and healthcare.
As the state navigates a crucial period in its political and developmental journey, Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to doing things “appropriately” may prove central to his leadership legacy and future political aspirations.
