Speaking in Abuja, he emphasized that their bond is built on shared development goals and a common history of pursuing national progress.

The envoy’s remarks celebrate decades of diplomatic cooperation established in 1971. He noted that both nations consistently support each other internationally, particularly regarding national integrity. This long-standing mutual support has paved the way for a comprehensive strategic partnership across trade and technology.

Ambassador Yu specifically identified the “One-China” principle as a cornerstone of their diplomatic relations.

He expressed appreciation for Nigeria’s unwavering support of this policy, suggesting it reflects a deep trust and ideological harmony between the two nations’ leaderships.

Economic cooperation serves as a vital pillar of this unique family dynamic.

The envoy highlighted how Chinese investments have driven significant Nigerian infrastructure projects, including railways and power plants. He stressed that these initiatives are essential contributions toward a shared prosperous future.

The Ambassador also emphasized the importance of people-to-people exchanges in strengthening the cultural fabric of their relationship.

By promoting educational programs and tourism, both countries aim to bridge cultural gaps. This ensures that their ties extend beyond government officials to their citizens.

Looking ahead, the envoy reaffirmed China’s commitment to working closely with the Nigerian administration on modern challenges. He indicated that future collaborations will focus on the digital economy and green energy. This ensures the partnership remains relevant while staying rooted in traditional values.
