The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, has distributed 30 vehicles and 850 motorcycles to party leaders and grassroots stakeholders across Kaduna State as part of a wide-ranging empowerment initiative

The vehicles were allocated to leaders of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and allied support groups, while the motorcycles were distributed to teachers, Imams, polling unit heads, security personnel, and grassroots supporters across different communities in the state Speaking during the distribution exercise, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen said he was honoured to support individuals who play critical roles in community development, political mobilisation, education, religious leadership, and security. He noted that the initiative was aimed at strengthening grassroots participation and improving the livelihoods of beneficiaries The Speaker explained that the intervention followed an earlier financial empowerment programme that benefitted 2,400 constituents, stressing that his commitment to the welfare of the people of Kaduna State remains unwavering According to him, empowering grassroots stakeholders is essential for inclusive development and effective representation, adding that the beneficiaries would be better equipped to serve their communities Beneficiaries and party stakeholders expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful. They noted that the distribution would enhance mobility, productivity, and grassroots engagement across the state The empowerment programme is part of ongoing efforts by Hon. Abbas Tajudeen to promote socio-economic development and strengthen political structures at the grassroots level in Kaduna State.
