NAOWA President Calls for Innovation and Sustainability Across Chapters

President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Mrs Safiyyah Hassan Shaibu, has called on members of the association to strengthen existing achievements through innovative and sustainable programmes that reflect NAOWA’s core values.

Mrs Shaibu made the call on Friday, January 23, 2026, while receiving the Chairperson of the NAOWA 3 Division Chapter, Mrs Temitope Oyedele Oyinlola, and the Coordinator of the NAOWA Nigerian Army Armoured Corps (NAAC) Chapter, Mrs Fatima UB Abubakar, during separate courtesy visits to the NAOWA National Secretariat in Abuja.

She commended the two leaders for the progress recorded in their respective chapters, describing their leadership styles as focused and people-centred. According to her, teamwork, continuity and creativity remain critical to advancing the association’s goals across the country.

The NAOWA president praised Mrs Oyinlola for sustaining the legacies of previous administrations, noting that the 3 Division Chapter has placed strong emphasis on capacity development and educational support initiatives.

She also lauded Mrs Fatima Abubakar for the achievements of the NAAC Chapter in Bauchi State, describing the accomplishments recorded within a short period as evidence of dedication and commitment to the association’s ideals.

In their remarks, Mrs Oyinlola and Mrs Abubakar expressed gratitude for the support and guidance of the NAOWA president, reaffirming their loyalty and commitment to her vision of a more united and impactful association.

The visits featured interactive engagements, signing of the visitors’ book and group photographs.
