Tonto Dikeh Reflects on Failed Marriage 10 Years After, Credits God for Restoration
Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has shared an emotional reflection on her past marriage to Olakunle Churchill, revealing that peace has finally been restored a decade after their highly publicised separation.
In a post shared on her Instagram page on Saturday, the actress expressed gratitude to God for what she described as divine intervention in a situation that once seemed beyond repair.
She said the journey from conflict to reconciliation serves as evidence of God’s enduring faithfulness.
Dikeh recounted years marked by strained communication, bitterness and public disputes, noting that the transformation she now witnesses did not come through human effort alone.
According to her, what once appeared broken and hopeless has been replaced with mutual respect and calm.
She attributed the change to spiritual growth, humility and persistent prayers, adding that the restoration of peace was achieved through God’s guidance rather than personal strength or wisdom.
The actress also acknowledged Churchill, the father of her child, for embracing peace and aligning with what she described as God’s direction, saying his decision played a significant role in the healing process.
Using her experience as encouragement, Dikeh urged individuals facing similar struggles not to lose hope, stressing that difficult chapters do not mark the end of one’s story.
Tonto Dikeh and Olakunle Churchill’s marriage ended in 2017 following a turbulent split that attracted widespread media attention and legal disputes. Their relationship has remained in the public eye over the years due to recurring disagreements, particularly concerning their child.
