Rape Survivors Lure Kaduna Kidnappers To Arrest

In Kaduna, two suspected kidnappers were arrested after allegedly falling for a “romantic trap” set by the very women they had abducted and assaulted.
The victims, two married women, were held captive for several days and repeatedly raped. To survive the trauma, they pretended to develop emotional feelings for their captors.
The women convinced the suspects they were enjoying the “relationship,” a tactic that softened the kidnappers and led to an exchange of phone numbers before their release.
Once free, the survivors maintained contact with the men while secretly working with the police to coordinate a sting operation.
The women eventually lured the suspects to a “romantic meeting” in Kaduna. Expecting a date, the men walked straight into an ambush by waiting police operatives.
The suspects are now in custody facing charges of kidnapping and rape, while the public has praised the survivors’ bravery and tactical brilliance.
