NSCDC Decorate 85 Newly Promoted Officers in Gombe, Urges Integrity

The Gombe State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has decorated 85 officers promoted during the 2025 exercise.

The ceremony, held at the State Command Conference Hall on Wednesday, saw the elevation of 53 senior officers and 32 junior officers, marking a significant milestone in their professional careers.

State Commandant Jibrin Idris charged the newly promoted personnel to uphold the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and leadership. He reminded the officers that their new ranks come with heavier responsibilities, urging them to recommit themselves to selfless service and the protection of lives and property within the state.

Beyond internal discipline, the Commandant emphasized the importance of modern law enforcement. He encouraged the officers to strengthen community engagement and deepen collaboration with sister security agencies.

He noted that the public expects higher levels of performance and professionalism from them at these new ranks.

Representing the promoted staff, Assistant Commandant Kizito Igawe expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Corps for the recognition. He pledged that the officers would uphold the values of the NSCDC with renewed dedication, even as the agency seeks to recruit 30,000 more personnel to meet rising national security demands.
