Tinubu Lands in Abu Dhabi for Sustainability Week Summit 

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to take part in the 2026 edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week summit, a major international platform focused on climate action and sustainable development.

The Nigerian leader was formally welcomed on arrival by a senior UAE government official, underscoring the growing diplomatic and economic ties between Nigeria and the Gulf nation.

During the summit, President Tinubu is expected to engage with global leaders, policymakers and industry stakeholders on issues bordering on climate change mitigation, clean energy transition and sustainable economic growth.

The discussions are also aimed at exploring partnerships that could support Nigeria’s development priorities.

The visit signals Nigeria’s renewed commitment to international cooperation on environmental sustainability, particularly in areas of renewable energy, climate resilience and responsible resource management.

Officials noted that the engagement aligns with Nigeria’s broader efforts to attract investment, strengthen climate policies and position the country as an active participant in global conversations on sustainable development.
