US Military Considering ‘Very Strong Option for Iran, Says Trump

President Donald Trump has announced that the U.S. military is preparing “very strong options” against Iran.
This escalation comes in response to the Iranian government’s violent suppression of nationwide protests, which have resulted in the deaths of over 500 people.
Trump suggested that the killing of demonstrators has crossed a “red line” for his administration.
Speaking to reporters, the president confirmed that military officials have briefed him on potential targets within Iran.
He emphasized that the United States is prepared to act to stop the “slaughter” of civilians. While he did not specify the exact nature of the military plans, he indicated that a decision on how to proceed would be made very soon.
In a surprising turn, Trump also claimed that Iranian leadership reached out to him to request negotiations. He suggested that the Iranian government is “tired of being beat up” by sanctions and internal unrest.
However, he maintained that the U.S. might still take military action before any diplomatic meetings occur to address the immediate violence on the ground.
Tehran has responded with fierce rhetoric, warning that any U.S. intervention will lead to a broader conflict. Iranian officials stated that American military bases in the Middle East and Israel would be targeted if Washington launches an attack.
The Iranian government continues to blame the domestic unrest on “foreign enemies” rather than internal grievances.
The current crisis follows years of economic stagnation and a brief military exchange in 2025. Protests have now entered their third week, with major cities remaining under a heavy security presence and a nationwide internet blackout.
The international community is watching closely as the threat of a direct military confrontation between the two nations reaches its highest point in years.
