Mutfwang Assures Tinubu of 1 million Votes from Plateau, as He Joins APC

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has guaranteed that the state will provide one million votes for President Bola Tinubu, noting that the region has achieved a newfound level of internal cohesion.
He further encouraged those hesitant about leaving the PDP for the APC to remain calm, remarking that “time will reveal everything to the fearful.”
The Governor made these remarks in Jos, the state capital, on Friday, upon being officially presented with his All Progressives Congress (APC) membership card.
He observed, “One of my long-held aspirations and active pursuits has been the total unification of Plateau State.”
“If you truly care for this state, you are my kin; today, I am starting to witness the breakthrough we have worked for,” he added.
“I can see the foundation of unity we have been building finally coming together to form a truly integrated Plateau,” he continued.
He maintained that “what is emerging today is essentially a ‘Plateau Peoples Party’ operating through the APC platform, where we will collectively champion the state’s interests.”
Elaborating further, Mutfwang said, “To those who are doubtful, I ask for your patience. Time will provide clarity to those who are currently afraid.”
“I urge you to have courage; this is a step taken in faith, and I am confident that Plateau will flourish through this new alliance,” he advised.
“Divine providence has brought us together today. Plateau transcends any individual, and we are now establishing a future where political bitterness is significantly diminished,” he explained.
“This is a state where we acknowledge that leadership is divinely ordained. I believe our gathering here this afternoon was prearranged by a higher power,” he stated.
Addressing his former party, he noted, “Those remaining in the PDP are not my foes; they are my associates and brothers. While they may be saddened by my departure, I believe they remain dedicated to the common goals we once shared.”
Regarding his bond with the President, the Governor shared, “Since our first meeting on June 3, 2023, I have consistently expressed my loyalty to his administration and his return to office.”
“I recognize his resolve to address the nation’s hurdles, and I am fully prepared to join him in that mission,” he said.
“By taking this step today, my advice to him will carry the weight of an insider rather than an observer. My goal is to ensure Plateau has a strong seat at the table where national progress is discussed.”
He concluded by saying, “I anticipate the most orderly election in our state’s history come 2027. Through our collective efforts, I am certain we will secure one million votes for the President.”
