Crystal Palace Target Nigerian Midfielder Frank Onyeka for Summer Signing

Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Nigerian midfielder, Frank Onyeka ahead of the 2025 summer transfer market.
The Eagles are looking to bolster their midfield and have included Onyeka among the leading names on their wanted list.
The 27-year-old midfielder is currently on loan at Bundesliga side FC Augsburg from Brentford. Onyeka has played 26 league games in Germany, showcasing his tenacity, ball-winning ability, and midfield versatility.
Augsburg are unlikely to sign him on a permanent deal despite a decent season, making way for a Premier League comeback.
Crystal Palace have already been in touch with Brentford regarding a possible move and are poised to make an offer believed to be around €12 million. With Onyeka under contract at Brentford until June 2027, the West Londoners may be open to listening to offers, especially if the Nigerian is not central to their long-term plans.
Onyeka joined Brentford in July 2021 from Danish side FC Midtjylland, where he progressed through the ranks.
He has made 69 Premier League appearances since moving to England, scoring once and registering four assists. Although he has not been able to nail down a consistent starting position at Brentford, his performances in the Bundesliga have rekindled interest in his potential.
The Nigerian midfielder is said to be open to returning to England but is seeking guarantees of regular football before committing to any new club. For Crystal Palace, the signing would be a strategic one as they seek to rebuild and strengthen their squad for next season.
If the deal is sealed, Onyeka would join a growing list of Nigerian internationals making waves in the Premier League, further cementing his place in the Super Eagles squad with crucial international matches looming on the horizon.
