Ekiti APC Leaders Endorse Tinubu, Oyebanji for Re-election

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State have officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Biodun Oyebanji for re-election, citing their strong leadership and developmental achievements.

The endorsement came during a high-level meeting of APC stakeholders from all 16 local government areas of the state, held in Ado-Ekiti. Party leaders described the duo’s performance in office as “commendable,” and emphasized the importance of continuity in governance to sustain the progress recorded so far.

Former Governor of Ekiti State and APC stalwart, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, threw his weight behind Governor Oyebanji’s second-term bid, stating that the governor has shown “visionary leadership and commitment to people-centered development.”

“Governor Oyebanji has performed creditably well and deserves our collective support for a second term. His administration has continued the legacy of good governance, transparency, and inclusive growth,” Fayemi said.

Governor Oyebanji, who was present at the meeting, expressed gratitude to the party leadership and stakeholders for their trust and support. He pledged to continue working for the welfare of the people and to deepen the developmental strides already underway.

“Our achievements in Ekiti are the result of a shared vision and collaborative efforts with the federal government under President Tinubu. I am honored by your confidence and will not relent in my commitment to serve,” Oyebanji said.

The endorsement also extended to President Bola Tinubu, with party leaders applauding his administration’s reforms and support for infrastructure, education, and agriculture in Ekiti State. They described Tinubu as a “catalyst for national rebirth” and affirmed their support for his second-term ambition.

This unified endorsement by Ekiti APC leaders is expected to boost the party’s momentum as preparations for the 2026 elections gather pace. Party insiders say the move reflects a growing confidence in the APC’s ability to maintain political dominance in the state and beyond.
