Convener of the group, Hon. Bamidele Atoyebi, praised Yakassai for his humility, openness to ideas, and willingness to acknowledge and address personal shortcomings.

According to Atoyebi, these qualities have strengthened the organisation and inspired confidence among members and stakeholders.

He noted that Yakassai’s leadership style encourages consultation and constructive feedback, adding that he remains dependable and receptive to advice. Atoyebi said such attributes have contributed significantly to the progress recorded by the support group over the past year.

“He is a great leader, humble and listens to suggestions and opinions and he is one of the best persons you can always count on. He does not hide his weakness, humbly takes advice about his weakness, embrace it and work with you” Atoyebi said

Atoyebi expressed optimism that Yakassai would soon be considered for bigger roles, recalling a recent visit during which he hinted at an imminent return for screening into greater opportunities.

“As he marks his one year in office today, we pray that he’ll move from his current position soon to a bigger role” Atoyebi prays

The group also prayed for divine wisdom, increased knowledge, and good health for Yakassai, urging that he be granted the strength to sustain and enjoy the positive initiatives he has begun.

The celebration underscored the group’s confidence in Yakassai’s leadership and its expectations for his continued growth in public service.
