Man Jailed for Stealing Noodles Laments Girlfriends’ Absence During Imprisonment

A 24-year-old convict, Usama Abdullahi, has expressed disappointment after the three girlfriends he claimed to have stolen noodles for failed to visit him throughout his time in prison.

Abdullahi, who worked at a car wash in Shelleng Local Government Area of Adamawa State, admitted to stealing packs of Indomie noodles and sharing them among his girlfriends.

After committing the offence, he fled to another town but was later arrested by security operatives.

He was subsequently sentenced to two years’ imprisonment and remanded at the Shelleng Satellite Custodial Facility.

Speaking during an interaction with officials, Abdullahi said he felt betrayed by the women he had tried to impress.

“I stole Indomie and distributed it to my three girlfriends,” he said.
“Since I arrived at the facility, none of them paid me a visit. I promise to end the relationship with them all once I gain my freedom.”

His comments have sparked mixed reactions, with some locals describing the situation as a reflection of youth vulnerability and poor decision-making, while others see it as a lesson in misplaced priorities.

Prison officials said Abdullahi is nearing the end of his sentence and has shown remorse for his actions.
