Chelle Names 24-Man Super Eagles Squad for 2026 World Cup Playoff
Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has announced a 24-man roster for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff campaign.
The lineup features key players including captain William Troost-Ekong, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, and first-choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali. Defenders Bright Osayi-Samuel and Calvin Bassey also made the list, alongside experienced midfielder Alex Iwobi.
Other notable inclusions are Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, Samuel Chukwueze, Ademola Lookman, and Benjamin Fredericks.
Chelle also extended recalls to goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and Spain-based winger Chidera Ejuke, while Raphael Onyedika, Tolu Arokodare, Jerome Akor Adams, and Olakunle Olusegun earned spots in the squad.
The team is scheduled to assemble in Rabat, Morocco, on Monday, November 10, ahead of their semi-final clash against Gabon. The match will take place at the 22,000-capacity Complexe Sportif Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan next Thursday.
